Salt Lake City, Utah and Denver, Colorado!

Salt lake City, Utah and Denver, Colorado!

We saw so much in such a short week I cannot even begin to process it all and we have been home almost a week now!

We started our week flying to Salt lake city to see my best friend Lisa, We were so excited! My goal was to see more, do more and experience new things I hadn't read about or seen on blogs and pinterest. I wanted to venture and find new things and WE DID!

Our first day we drove to this small place tucked in the mountains called Ruth's Diner, The food was a perfect start to our Utah adventures. We then Explored The University of Utah where Lisa works and Will loved every minute of it! that afternoon we headed up to Park City where the winter olympics were once held. the location was full of history and culture that blew your mind. We could not believe the views alone were breathtaking. We finished off our first day enjoying some pizza pies with a dear friend of mine from High school, Blakelee! she brought her baby girls and they captured my heart with their wild like spirits just like their mamma.

After the first day we were EXHAUSTED!!!!

Salt lake was already capturing my heart but then Tuesday we did some more exploring!

Will and I went out on our own for a little while,  We found a great breakfast/brunch spot thanks to Blakelee. It was amazing! we then headed to Temple Square where the Mormon Temple is. It was Beautiful and so interesting to experience. I loved the history and architecture that filled the square and was something we are so glad we saw!

We met back up with Lisa that afternoon and headed to Antelope Island! it sits right outside of salt lake city in the great salt lake. It was Beautiful. I cannot express to you how beautiful....I thought I loved salt lake but now I knew....I loved this place. The views, The city, The lake it all was so different. I have a tendency to fall in love with places fast but this place was so different and so beautiful and I know I have said that before too so I guess I at least know myself haha. By the middle of the week I was convinced If We ever have to move again I want it to be salt lake ha!
but we had more traveling to do! so Wednesday we headed to Denver, Colorado to visit Wills best friend Cody and his wife Josie! we were so excited to see them and explore their new city with them. We in and caught the train to downtown to meet up with them and off we went Cody showed us around the diverse and fast growing city....that place is packed!! but we enjoyed our day and ended it with some top golf! it was a great start to our Denver experiences.
The next day we woke up early and headed out to Colorado Springs with Cody to see more amazing views and eat some amazing food of course! we saw so much in one day it all feels like a blur.... we saw the Garden of the Gods. We drove around Pike Peak but sadly could not travel to the top due to wind (but Im going back!) it was so cold!! We couldn't believe it. We grabbed some Lunch at YELLOW DELI! which if you're from Chattanooga you know how excited I was to visit this place! Yellow Deli was where I spent many long house studying in college or just hanging out and it was nice to throw it back for a bit. We explored the Coors Brewery which surprised me and was very cool I enjoyed seeing how it is all made and how huge of a facility it was! the free beer was'nt bad either ;)

sadly we only had a short time in Denver but Loved the time we had with Cody and Josie and we are already planning another trip very soon. We grabbed a quick dinner with them and then flew back to Salt lake city to spend one more day with Lisa!!

We did some exploring while Lisa was working Friday and headed out towards Nevada! We LOVED the Bonneville Salt Flats. They were mind blowing, We could not believe it. The salt and the mountains were aw-inspiring. we spent a lot of time taking pictures and just basking in this beautiful different place. Before we headed back to grab dinner with Lisa and Andrew we felt we needed to at least crossed the Nevada line....I mean why not? well I was the pilot so I took us on a back road adventure and we saw amazing views and then realized we were in Nevada after we crossed a cattle grate...haha! it was something new, something different and all we wanted it to be!

The time flew by. we had a great double date with Lisa and Andrew before heading off to bed to prepare for our flight home the next day....We were honestly sad. We loved this place and all the places and things we had experienced. Have you ever wished you could just pack your whole life up and move it somewhere? I feel like this is how I was feeling....because I love my life, my home, my job and my family but I have a wanderlust spirit that makes me want to go everywhere so I run into this wall all the time but I finally had someone to do it with...Will loved every minute of our trip and it made my heart even more happy to have experienced all of this with him. He handled flying for the first time like a champ and I am so thankful God blessed me with a man that loves adventures as much as I do.

well the week was over....we grabbed an EARLY breakfast with my salt lake people (Lisa, Andrew and Blakelee) and then headed for home....our flight home seemed so fast. POOF back in Nashville. I could not believe it but I was excited to see my pups thats For sure!

We had a life changing trip. We experienced a lot and saw even more. I think thats what I love about traveling. You get to experience so much and you learn so much about new places, more than you could ever just reading about them. it changes you but in a good way. For me it leaves me with a desire to know more, see more and experience way more! So now my mind is wandering and wondering where our next adventure will be and honestly I still don't know but don't worry it will happen soon. life is too short and time is too limited these days....

so Here are some pics from our awesome trip! I hope you enjoyed my crazy ramblings about this trip

love,

-B

The latest...Project 615!

Hey All, So this past weekend I ventured to West Nashville a part I really have not explored yet to be honest but I was on a mission because Project 615 was having their blowout sale! Who doesn't love some some on sale T-shirts? So I got my sister in law to come with me and we headed out. I was not really thinking because I knew the Doors opened at noon so we got there at about eleven thirty....whoops the line was already halfway down the building, through the parking lot and up the street but I had drove across town so I was not backing out. I have wanted to get some of their shirts for many months now but when budgets are tight you don't let your self splurge on things over ten dollars much. but anyway we waited in the long but cheerful line where we were surrounded by other locals just as excited as I was. A couple behind us were chatty about heading the the predators game in a couple hours (Go Preds!) and they were hoping to find some sweet swag to sport to the game. anot

Be Kind, you wont regret it!

Be kind. My husband use to laugh at me daily because I always told him I never like to watch the news.... So you're probably wondering why start with that Beth? Well you see I wrote this post over a month ago now and I saved it because I just felt it was not the right time to share it. So do you watch the news? I do not. well thats not true...I do but I hate it. The news today is not the new stations fault its ours and by ours I don't necessarily mean directly the people reading this but there are so many people responsible no one can even begin to point a finger...But thats my problem...STOP POINTING FINGERS aside from the thought that runs through my head that my great Aunt use to drill into me "Pointing is never polite." I constantly wonder what changed to make our world so sad? what changed that makes me scared to send my kids to school some day? why are people so full of anger and sadness that they feel they need to take it out on you or our children or me
